PR to Production – Developer Experience

Hardened an event-driven separation-of-duties platform with observability, automatic incident creation, and processor consolidation. Worked through security findings, maintained vulnerability-data integrations, reviewed organization governance, and introduced agent tooling into the team’s own repositories.

Scope

Before joining the AI-era SDLC tiger team, I worked on the Developer Experience product responsible for the enterprise path from pull request to production. The work connected delivery tooling, separation of duties, operational visibility, and repository governance.

My responsibility

  • Platform hardening: moved the event-driven separation-of-duties platform from AWS X-Ray to Datadog, adding monitors, dashboards, and synthetics; added automatic incident creation for pipeline failures; and consolidated a legacy processor onto the platform.
  • Security maintenance: worked through CVE and Security Hub findings across the team’s services and migrated status badges to a new vulnerability-data API.
  • Governance review: served as a gatekeeper on organization-governance changes, keeping policy decisions reviewable before they reached engineering teams.
  • Agent tooling: introduced reusable agent skills, a migration agent, and Copilot coding-agent workflows into the team’s repositories before the tiger team existed.

Operational result

Pipeline failures now create incidents automatically, the separation-of-duties platform has monitors, dashboards, and synthetic checks, and a legacy processor has been consolidated onto that platform. Those changes make failures visible and give operators a common path for investigating them. It also set up the question I now work on: how do we give coding agents the same clear context, bounded permissions, and feedback that reliable engineering already depends on?
